Want to get involved with the work of the Kingdom? Saving the lost and broken won’t happen on its own. Here are some ways to jump in and start serving:

1. Subscribe to 8BitKingdom. For every person who subscribes to 8BitKingdom we will donate $1 to a video game charity such as Child’s Play or Extra Life. (Subscribe by entering your email on the front page and clicking the “Let’s Do This!” button.)
2. Host a gaming marathon for charity. A great example of this is the Mario Marathon.
3. Play games with kids at hospitals. Gamers Outreach has plenty of ways to get involved.
4. Reverse GTA: See what life is like for real reformed gangsters by visiting Homeboy Industries and getting involved with their service projects.
5. Zombie Run for charity. Have people sponsor you for your run ($1 for every minute you stay alive) and give the funds to charity. Here are some great places to give.
6. Don’t just pretend to bring justice through the life of Phoenix Wright, actually help people have their rights restored by volunteering with organizations such as International Justice Mission.
7. Build out your WOW guild by getting to know some teenagers through organizations like Young Life
8. Put those Sims house building skills to the test by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
